• Explain the difference between leadership and management and give an example of each. 
• Review the leadership styles in your textbook.  Which leadership style can you relate to the most and why? 
• Discuss at least one vulnerability or area for improvement in your leadership skills. According to your textbook, managers and leaders are constantly being observed by the people who follow them (staff, students, etc.).  
• Imagine that you are in a leadership role. CSWE Competency 1 focuses on the social worker’s ability to demonstrate professional and ethical behavior. Describe at least two professional or ethical expectations you would have for your staff, and explain why these expectations are important to you.
