1.  After reading Ryan and Cooper Chapter 5 about curriculum select a grade level (for multiple subject candidates) or subject area (for single subject candidates). Go to the CTC website (link is in the learning activities folder) and explore the content standards for that grade level or subject area. What are two  insights you’ve gained about the standards from reviewing them?

2.  Select one of the Common Core videos link in the learning activities folder and watch one of the videos. What stood out for you with regard to the teachers and the instructional strategies used by the teachers in the video?

3. Review the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Educators in the Learning Activities folder and the technology tools described in Ryan and Cooper, Chapter 7. What insights did you gain about teacher’s role in technology? Which of the technology tools described in the text are you most interested in using in your classroom? Why?
