Nowadays, Nanotechnology, Technological Devices, Augmented Reality, Robots are used in many fields for various purposes. Some people believe that these advancements and inventions are very beneficial for us, yet others are concerned of possible risks and disadvantages, and are afraid that one day robots will overtake us as they are now taking away?many jobs that people used to do.?For example,?today, we have more ATM Machines than people working as Tellers at the banks; we have more Self-Checkout Stations at the stores than store Cashiers, etc.
The Prompt
Consider the argumentative topic with 2 claims:
The Task: Choose one of the claims that you agree with and write an essay that presents your argument/ choice in a clear strong thesis statement and is supported with reasons, explanations, and evidence (examples and quotes from the provided and researched sources). Demonstrate complex vocabulary, varied syntax, correct grammar usage, and few or no mechanical errors.

The Expected Structure and Guidelines

Your argumentative essay should follow these guidelines:
Should have academic essay structure and a min. of 5-paragraphs:
A title: think of an interesting, creative title
Introduction: (6-7 sentences)
that starts with an appealing Hook, introduces the main topic of the impact of technology and robots on people and on the job market nowadays, and then narrows down to the specific claim / your argument which is presented in a Complete or Fully-developed Thesis Statement
3 Body Paragraphs that support your argument by explaining your reasons for that
choice/ opinion (8-11 sentences each)
Each Supporting Body Paragraph should develop 1 reason: explain/ provide details, include 1 or 2 quotes supporting your reason/ claims.

Conclusion: (4-6 sentences)
that loops back to the main topic, restates your thesis briefly mentioning the supporting reasons, and ends with a call for action? or provides a possible suggestion.
Should have one personal experience as an example
Briefly present a personal example/experience in ANY of the supporting Body
Paragraphs.

researched via LAVC Library Databases or Google Scholar, or Ted.com
Should have IN-TEXT citations (quotes/ references) from the provided and researched source
A minimum of 4 and max of 5 citations/quotes (directly or indirectly introduced inside of your paper from the Primary and Secondary sources.)

So, the in-text citations may include 4 or 5 direct and/or indirect quotes
2 or 3 quotes from the given Primary Source
